Vineet Kharat, President

Vineet Kharat is a Pune based film mak­er and media pro­fes­sion­al who co-found­ed V R Inter­ac­tive Solu­tions, a pro­duc­tion house that spe­cialis­es in cor­po­rate and doc­u­men­tary films, ani­ma­tion and vir­tu­al real­i­ty immer­sive sto­ry­telling. His com­mit­ment to projects that ben­e­fit chil­dren, youth, and the elder­ly dates back to his time at Fer­gus­son Col­lege. Moti­vat­ed by his desire to empow­er the poor through rev­o­lu­tion­ary projects, he estab­lished the Peepal Foun­da­tion in 2001. His ded­i­ca­tion to social impact is demon­strat­ed by his involve­ment with numer­ous renowned orga­ni­za­tions, includ­ing Swayam Shik­shan Prayog, WWF, SPIC MACAY, and Eklavya Nyasa.  Vineet’s lead­er­ship extends to women’s empow­er­ment, envi­ron­men­tal care, and sup­port­ing mar­gin­al­ized com­mu­ni­ties. Through his diverse roles, he con­tin­ues to shape pos­i­tive change, guid­ed by a deep sense of com­pas­sion and responsibility.

Dr. Trup­ti Mehta, Vice President

Dr. Trup­ti Mehta is a Pune ‑based con­sum­mate health­care pro­fes­sion­al with near­ly 20  years of expe­ri­ence in all aspects of hos­pi­tal man­age­ment and admin­is­tra­tion. Dr. Trup­ti Mehta spe­cialis­es in head­ing oper­a­tions with key focus on bot­tom line prof­itabil­i­ty by ensur­ing opti­mal uti­liza­tion of resources and stream­lin­ing the work­ing SOPs for enhanced oper­a­tional effec­tive­ness. At Poona Hos­pi­tal, where she has worked since 2007, she has Built a rep­u­ta­tion for excel­lence in man­ag­ing hos­pi­tal plan­ning, design­ing & devel­op­ment projects / ini­tia­tives for pro­vid­ing basic & high end med­ical facil­i­ties. She is an avid read­er and an intre­pid trav­eller but most of all she loves dogs.

Roopa Ram­pu­ra, Treasurer 

Roopa Ram­pu­ra is a Pune-based graph­ic design­er and media entre­pre­neur with a Master’s in Com­put­er Man­age­ment and a diplo­ma in Graph­ic Art and Ani­ma­tion. She has a strong blend of artis­tic tal­ent and tech­ni­cal exper­tise, hav­ing served as Pro­duc­tion Head at Kir­loskar Com­put­er Ser­vices, where she led a team of 20 artists and ani­ma­tors. A skilled painter and graph­ic design­er, Roopa is also deeply pas­sion­ate about ani­mal wel­fare, active­ly help­ing reha­bil­i­tate injured strays. As a co-founder of V R Inter­ac­tive Solu­tions Pvt. Ltd., a lead­ing pro­duc­tion house in Pune, she has con­tributed to over 200 films as a cre­ative direc­tor. In addi­tion to her pro­fes­sion­al work, Roopa serves as the trea­sur­er of the Peepal Foun­da­tion, sup­port­ing var­i­ous com­mu­ni­ty initiatives.

Ran­jit Jad­havrao, Secretary

Ran­jit Jad­havrao is among the top lan­guage trans­la­tors in Pune, hav­ing tak­en to lan­guage skills as a young boy watch­ing his father work pas­sion­ate­ly on sev­er­al trans­la­tion jobs for a top pub­li­ca­tion. Ran­jit is a vora­cious read­er, and this adds a sharp­er edge to his work in translation.

Ran­jit’s rich expe­ri­ence includes his work­ing spell in a lead­ing cor­po­rate pub­lish­ing house in Pune, hav­ing worked on a broad spec­trum of assign­ments for over 21 years.

Soon, he was bit­ten by the entre­pre­neur­ship bug and set up his own busi­ness in lan­guage trans­la­tions, design­ing and print­ing. Ran­jit is an avid trekker and loves explor­ing our beau­ti­ful coun­try. He has been asso­ci­at­ed with the founders of Peepal Foun­da­tion for many years and enjoys shar­ing his time with Peepal-relat­ed projects.

Shailen­dra Yash­want, Hon. Member 

Shailen­dra Yash­want is an envi­ron­men­tal pho­tog­ra­ph­er, writer and jour­nal­ist. brings over a decade of expe­ri­ence in non-prof­it man­age­ment, hav­ing worked with var­i­ous orga­ni­za­tions focused on cli­mate change, sus­tain­able devel­op­ment, and com­mu­ni­ty empow­er­ment. His exten­sive expe­ri­ence has equipped him with a unique under­stand­ing of the chal­lenges and oppor­tu­ni­ties in the non-prof­it sec­tor, allow­ing him to devel­op and imple­ment effec­tive strate­gies for pos­i­tive impact. Through­out his career, Yash­want has held lead­er­ship posi­tions in sev­er­al orga­ni­za­tions, dri­ving ini­tia­tives and pro­grams that have made a tan­gi­ble dif­fer­ence in the lives of indi­vid­u­als and com­mu­ni­ties worldwide.

Shirish Kaulgud, Hon. Member 

Mr. Shirish Kaulgud, a reput­ed busi­ness­man and own­er of a lead­ing IT com­pa­ny in Pune is well-known for his pro­mo­tion of Art and Cul­ture across Maha­rash­tra. He has been a key resource and guid­ing force at SPIC MACAY Pune for the last 2 decades. He is an hon­orary mem­ber of the Peepal Foun­da­tion since its inception.

Punam Dharkar, Hon. Member

Punam Dharkar comes with vast expe­ri­ence in var­i­ous fields of work. She has worked as a copy­writer with var­i­ous top adver­tis­ing agen­cies in Mum­bai. Lat­er, in Pune, she was a vis­it­ing fac­ul­ty in cre­ative adver­tis­ing ses­sions at Sym­bio­sis Insti­tute of Mass Com­mu­ni­ca­tions. She also simul­ta­ne­ous­ly took up a sec­ond career in lead­er­ship train­ing for a few years, in an MNC.

She is now involved as a founder mem­ber of a very suc­cess­ful group called Swap for pre-owned house­hold items that you can buy, sell, exchange, lend, bor­row and give away. She is a men­tor with and well-wish­er of Peepal Foun­da­tion, a men­tor at Ishanya Foun­da­tion for guid­ing stu­dents who learn to devel­op skills that can make them job-ready. Besides, she is part of a scrap band called Band Baja De where lyrics are writ­ten to pro­mote waste seg­re­ga­tion, adher­ing to traf­fic safe­ty rules, and clean­li­ness, which are sung to Bol­ly­wood tunes at traf­fic lights, bastis, and at relat­ed events. She also plays the role of the sec­re­tary of her hous­ing soci­ety hav­ing worked on sev­er­al projects for uplift­ing the ‘brand val­ue’ of the society.
